Submission to the Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters inquiry into civics education, engagement, and participation in Australia

FECCA has made a submission to the Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters Inquiry into civics education, engagement, and participation in Australia.

With over 50% of Australians born overseas or having a parent born overseas, it is vital to ensure that multicultural communities have equal access to electoral participation. FECCA’s submission highlights the need for culturally appropriate information, inclusive voter education, and stronger engagement strategies to support full civic participation.

As Australia’s peak body for multicultural communities, FECCA continues to advocate for a stronger, more inclusive democracy.
