Unpacking possibilities with CommBank

For many migrants, building a new life in Australia comes with important financial milestones and challenges. As Australia’s largest bank*, CommBank supports around one in two new migrants^, helping them navigate everyday banking and establish themselves in their new community.

At this year’s FECCA Conference, CommBank unpacked the many ways it supports migrants and multicultural communities across Australia. From its Moving to Australia support and financial wellbeing initiatives, to discounts and offers that can help migrants save on everyday expenses, CommBank helps new migrants navigate everyday banking and establish themselves with greater confidence.

The conference was a great opportunity for them to showcase the breadth of information and resources they have in different languages, including Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic and Punjabi, helping more people access practical banking information in a language that works for them. Resources cover everything from everyday banking and financial wellbeing to scams and fraud.  Explore the full range of resources and languages at commbank.com.au/FECCA.

CommBank also shared information about CommBank Next Chapter, its long-term commitment to supporting victim-survivors of financial abuse and family violence, whether they bank with CommBank or not. Through specialist support, culturally inclusive services and community partnerships, Next Chapter helps people rebuild financial confidence and independence.

The CommBank Next Chapter Team can be reached on 1800 222 387 Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm (Sydney/ Melbourne time), excluding public holidays. Interpreter services can be arranged for callers who prefer to speak in a language other than English.

Through community partnerships, multilingual resources and dedicated support programs, CommBank is committed to helping migrants feel connected, supported and empowered as they build a new life in Australia.
