Welcome to issue number 52 of the Australian Mosaic: The Value of a Shared Language. In this issue we look at how important language is to one’s identity and sense of self. We also explore aspects of language preservation and continuation and how this is experienced by all Australians. The ability to master English is addressed throughout the magazine while reflecting on the fact that this is not the only language that is important for people, even in Australia.
