AMWA JSA - Gender Economic Equality Study Consultation Submission
The Australian Multicultural Women’s Alliance (AMWA) urges Jobs and Skills Australia to embed intersectionality in the Gender Economic Equality Study to ensure policies reflect the real experiences of CALD women. The submission calls for stronger data collection on race and ethnicity, reform of skills recognition and migration systems, and targeted measures to address occupational segregation, pay inequity, and cultural bias. AMWA advocates for community-led engagement, inclusive education pathways, and systemic accountability to enable migrant and refugee women to thrive economically and equitably.
