The Australian Multicultural Women’s Alliance (AMWA) highlights that many migrant and refugee women are working below their skill level due to costly, inconsistent, and confusing qualification recognition processes. AMWA urges the government to streamline skills recognition, provide financial and regulatory support, and improve access to childcare, flexible work, and fair pay. These reforms would enable migrant women to contribute fully to Australia’s productivity, strengthen economic resilience, and build a more inclusive workforce.
