Multicultural Communities Council of Illawarra
8 Lyell Street Fyshwick ACT 2609 (Ngunnawal)
Multicultural Communities Council Illawarra (MCCI) is a regional peak body representing the interests of culturally & linguistically diverse (CALD) communities that was first formed in 1975. MCCI has deep connections to CALD communities through our membership of over 50 CALD local organisations and representing these communities in advocacy and as a specialist provider of Home Care and CHSP services. MCCI also holds the NSW & ACT national funding agreement for Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC) and has successfully partnered with the Canberra Multicultural Community Forum to build the CALD community’s engagement and understanding of aged care services. MCCI also provides information sessions to CALD older people throughout the ACT and NSW on topics such as mental health and well being, understanding My Aged Care, Dementia care and Palliative care.
